Kenston Local Schools is a charter member of the Kilowatts for Education Consortium.
In August of 2012 installation and construction was completed of a single 750kW wind turbine, a photovoltaic solar array, reference array and tracker (33.1 kW total) along with a solar thermal array at its Chagrin Falls, Ohio campus. To view the complete Project Details page, click here
By installing this suite of renewable energy, the school district will offset their long-term operating costs and reduce public tax dollars.
They are also creating a tremendous opportunity for students and the public by educating tomorrow's renewable energy workforce in a guaranteed growth industry and hopefully bringing more green jobs to the State of Ohio.
